Automouting USB digital camera on Mandrake 8.1

Does anyone have any ideas on how to automount a USB camera on Mandrake 8.1?

Normally I can mount it manually with just 'mount -t vfat /dev/sda1
<dir>'. I can't work out how to have Mandrake mount automatically and
pop an icon up on the desktop or something.

One guy suggested this

"On my laptop I use autofs to do this:
I added the following to /etc/auto.misc

camera
	-fstype=auto :/dev/sda1

If you have other SCSI devices your camera will probably not be sda1, just
check dmesg.

After that you just cd into /misc/camera/dcim/100_fuji to see the
pictures. It is probably a good idea to load usb-storage kernel module
before also."
