A Mandrake took my Baby!

Hi all,

Installed Mandrake 8 last night now I have problems,

I have an NTFS (Windows NT) partition, I can no longer
see it from NT. Linux says that it has the Partion ID of 
17 (Hidden NTFS/HTFS) I change it using fdisk and I 
put it back to type 7 (NTFS/HTFS) reboot back to NT 
but I still can't see the drive. When I go back to Linux 
The Partition ID type is back to type 17. 

I have no problems mounting the partition from Linux.
So what can I do to make NT see the light and accept 
that the word does exist out side of NT. 

I can get all the data back by copying off from Linux and
back on using NT but seems a little brutel!

Help greatly appreciated.
