RE: finger help (BACK ON TRACK)

I (the company i work for) have a linux machine which exturnal companies log
into. Finger a method of finding out about which companies are having
trouble conneecting. its a small but very helpfull way of finding info out
about logins (times). also doesnt require every person (who is involved) in
having an account to the linux machine.

currently we use other methods ( i guess "w" ) which require more time
(several seconds.. :) .
