I agree with you wholeheartedly... I come across _so_many webpages which will only work on IE, with a resolution >1024x768. It
quite honestly shits me off.
Unfortunately though it sometimes is nessecary to use IE, as much as some loathe it. I quite like it actually.. cant stand
Nutscrape since 4.x (3.x< was elite), mainly due to its slowness/phatness/ugly interface in 6.x.
Microsoft do make half decent Client side software, given the occasional (*cough*) security problem(s), imo. Make pretty damn nice
hardware too :D
Konq. renders some pages pretty terribly imo.. havent looked at it for a while actually but it seemed more of a hack than a usable
alternative to I.E.
I havent used Opera for Linux, but I've heard good things about it.
Personally I cant wait until Microsoft port IE/OE over to Linux (& BSD hopefully. If not, ah well, good 'ole fbsd linux binary
compatibility.. heh). I _do_ know that its intergrated into my OS, but I honestly dont care - its fast, resposive, and pretty
inititive imo (even if they did 'borrow' ideas, I mean, innovate).
