not really, having recently tried netscape 4.78, opera (5.0?), mozilla
(0.9.2) (all on same machine, under RH 6.2) and IE 5.5 (same machine,
under vmware/nt) IE and netscape load pages in about the same time
(unfortunately mozilla is noticeably slower) but IE fonts are much nicer
and more pages work better in IE than netscape.

I looked at konquerer but it wants kde libs and I'm running gnome so
I didn't bother.

I was really hoping mozilla would be a nice lean fast browser (without
mail/news reader etc) but it's worse than netscape. It's better (but
more hassle) to run IE in vmware than anything else.

Dave.
