Upgrading to Samba 2.2.x
Hi everyone,
Thanks to all those who answered my connection speed question.
I have a problem (dont we all!), I am trying to upgrade my mandrake 7.2
system to samba 2.2.x, it's currently running samba 2.0.7. Problem is that i
need the GLibC 2.2 Libraries installed on the system. I tried upgrading
these libraries but i was told by mandrake update that a whole lot of
programs are dependant on the glibc libraries i currently have installed.
Should i just install them anyway, or arent the new libraries compatible
with the old libraries?
Is an install of mandrake 8.0 the only way to upgrade the glibc libraries??
Sorry about all the questions, but i just struggle to see why the new
version of glibc cannot be used with the previous programs.
Thanks in advance,
Adam W.
