Re: RedHat 7.1 reliability?

Richard!

I've been running "normal" on my main machine for at least 5 weeks now
(I think) and I haven't managed to kill any of my file systems. Mind
you, I haven't shunted a lot of stuff to other disks either.

Nonetheless, a few days ago I sent multi megabytes to my windows disk
and over the network all at the same time in preparation to put my main
system onto SGI's XFS (Irix's journalling filesystem - I would have used
ReiserFS but they appear to be having issues with the 2.4 series of
kernels).

I've not noticed any weird behaviour.

I also have an XFS based system on my secondary computer and no weird
behaviour.
