I'd suggest that a <$40 10/100 PCI card would do the trick. If you want
learning, there's no bertter way than setting up your linux box as a
NAT/proxy/gateway/mailserver etc... if you had a magical device to do this,
you would learn less... also, I suspect the magical device would cost more
than an extra network card.
