Telstra Satellite Internet Link

Telstra deliver a NIC card of some sort and pop it into a Win98 box,
install their software on it and it works fine.

Has any one had any success with Linux/FreeBSD solutions for Satellite
links or know of any solutions that work with the Telstra provided NIC?
