sony dds3 tape drive
Hello,
has anyone had any good experiences with Sony DDS tape drives. The one
I am having trouble with is a DDS3 SDT9000 which is supposed to backup
12GB native. It seems to be backing up 1.3GB and then the message is
that the media is full. The tapes are 125m.
Sony say that they don't support Linux.
I have tried tar and flexbackup using dump and both have had problems.
I have left the jumpers as they came which seems to disable hardware
compression but we have been doing software compression.
Below are several files which may help.
