It was also on NewsRadio 972 kHz in the middle of the night,
and the BBC World service, and slashdot.org and theregister.co.uk.

I think he will be remembered as a great educator.
The fact that NewsRadio has about 10 hours of astronomy
programming per week must be due to his influence.
Most people would have learned about black holes from his stories,
I think, and various concepts of philosophy (cleverly disguised
as humour).
On the negative side, he used a Mac.
