Indeed there is. I'm using it to send this email now. (Un)fortunately
you need to be running some form of UNIX to use it (unless someone
ported it to windows?).

That's a fine idea, except that in some environments, the hardware that
people have on their desktops is not adequate enough to run these
applications properly.
