I would read the bash man page except that:
a) it's online
b) it's fantastically long
c) it's simpler to ask when something seems to malfunction when it
shouldn't
This time I probably forgot that pure vi isn't as "helpful" as vim and I
didn't manage to convince myself that vi mode was working. Funnily
enough, I just discovered the "how to make readline behave like vi"
section of the info pages...
