I'm sure Microsoft thinks that strategy is great -- it means people use
MS Mail clients with MS Mail Servers on MS Operating Systems with MS
Mice :-)

The more enlightened of us would disagree with Microsoft's 'standards'
as they often fail to meet the requirements of the RFCs etc.
