Then you should know that the .com.au registrar charges a fee, which I
assume is part of that $250 you quoted.  And you should know that DNS
can easily chew up tens or hundreds of MB per year, costing the ISP 10 -
20c per MB.  And finally you should know that the infrastructure needs to
be paid for.  It's all well and good saying that they only have to type
a couple of lines into a config file, but that is a blatant distortion
of the truth, and can only ever hold true if the infrastructure doesn't
have to paid for.  Do you think that ISPs should make some customer pay
for infrastructure, while allowing others to use it for free?
