I agree. This reminded me of a "nice" feature that I believe one other local
ISP has on their dialup accounts. I understand that, once you reach your
limit, your access gets curtailed, so you can reach the ISP's system, but
not the rest of the world. Hence you can check your account etc but dont
just get "dumped" or rack up lots of huge bills.
With the speeds of ADSL, it'd be real easy for (say) the kids to download a
couple of extra GB and the subscriber not find out until the bill arrived. I
dont know how easy/hard this'd be, but a user nominated "action" once their
cap was reached would be an advantage. For example, I might select to cease
access - someone else might choose to just get a warning email, and a third
person might not care.
Is this feasible?
