ATA100 and Linux

Anyone know if Red Hat 7 works with ATA-100 drives? Will it install on to
ATA100? I know I can install a patch to get it to work with the drive from
previous discussions on this list, but I can't install the patch until Linux
is on there. Catch 22 really.
