Hi,
Several experienced and wise people have said how to actually wipe a
drive.

I haven't seen anyone on the list mention this person's idea.
In the "File Recovery Techniques" article in DDJ #319 Dec2000,
on the last page, p80, to para-phrase him, he says "...disk wiping is
very problematic..." ,
so don't "wipe a drive", "just loose the key" to your crypto'd disk.
I think he presumes you already _really_ trust your crypto method.
