Re: Buying Pemtium iii 933 or AMD 1.2 GHZ
Have people had any success with VIA chipsets? I had tried a "Frys Bundle"
motherboard and cpu. I had a Intel pentium 533Mhz with a Shuttle mother board,
AV61 Via chipset. Everything I tried to get this board working failed. My
first sign was memory dumps on RH6.2 when doing an ls, or find, or locate. I
tried everything I could with no success. I have switched to a FIC m/b with
intel 440BX chipset and a celeron 700Mhz. Its working great now, not a single
problem from install. But I dont think Ill ever buy a VIA chipset again.
