staroffice pop3 while not logged in

Hi,

I'm setting a Linux (SuSE 7.0 Pro) system up for my
family and would like to notify whoever has new mail.

I have a pop3 account set up at yahoo that works fine
with StarOffice.

Now I'd like to check the mail for anybody, logged on
or not and give notification when new mail is waiting.
Then that user can log on and read the mail.

Is there any way to put mail directly into the
StarOffice inbox?

If I can't do that then I'll have to set up a local
pop server and pop the mail into that, then point
StarOffice to the local server.

I'm just starting to look into that possibility and
was looking at qpopper.

If anybody has any pointers to either of these
approaches, please let me know.

cheers,

Carlyle
