Not as much as with molten iron/steel.
As for getting rid of Cd's. I know of at least one company in Adelaide that
converts waste plastic into useable items (ie. plastic bags, bottles etc.
into things like railways sleepers), there's bound to be others. The only
thing I'm not sure of is whether the aluminium content of the cd would be
considered too much.
