You can start educating by not attacking people who are willing to learn - I never stated that I was not willing to learn - especially when confronted by a blazing intellect :-)

Convincing those who have the ability to change things will be much 
easier 
if you don't throw in ridiculous distractions about things like
"democratic rights" which you don't have, or hand-waving about legal
problems which don't exist.

Get educated on the issue and write some letters.  I'm sure lots of 
people 
would be interested in helping if you showed any kind of likelihood
of success.
