2.4 Kernel and e2fs limits
Hi all,
As a result of a HDD crash yesterday, I've now got a nice new
big drive with space to spare :-)
So, while wondering about what to do with all that space, I
was wondering about the 2GB file limit on the e2fs filesystem.
A quick web search indicates that this is not so much an e2fs
issue, but a 32-bit issue hangover in the 2.2 kernel, that
"will be fixed in 2.4".
So, has anyone who is using the 2.4 kernel noticed if they
can now create files >2GB on their e2fs filesystems, or am
I also going to need to make other updates to my system?
Cheers,
