[ANNOUNCEMENT] Install Fest SA Coordinators

INSTALL FEST 2001 - SA

Robyn Manning and David Lloyd will volunteer to coordinate Install
Fest 2001. Following the successful event in the Year 2000, it is
proposed that a world-wide event occur on or near August 25. Here is
what we propose to do:

* minimise duplication efforts
* make sure that everyone who wants to get involved in organising this
major event can be involved at whatever level they choose
* work with potential sponsors, venue holders, presenters and other
outside bodies on behalf of Install Fest 2001
* be available on the day, or days, to co-ordinate and help prepare the
event

In a similar manner as last year's Install Fest, once we start really
talking about the event we will determine whether we need to take the
discussion off of the main mailing list.

Very soon, Install Fest 2001 will develop an automated set of forms for
people to register, obtain information about and participate in Install
Fest 2001.
