Probs with machine shutting itself down (longish)
Good morning and a happy new year to all
I am having a few problems with a machine that keeps switching itself
off every couple of days.
I checked all the obvious things first (PSU, power into the unit) but
all is fine.
After going through the logs today I found this group of messages that
happened just after the nightly backup:
Dec 29 04:02:01 linux smb: smbd shutdown succeeded
Dec 29 04:02:01 linux smb: nmbd shutdown succeeded

This doesn't occur all the time and is not consistent with the shut
downs but if someone can decipher the messages it might give me
something to go on
