kernel 2.0 on a Mandrake 7.2 box

Hi List,

Anyone running a 2.4 kernel under Mandrake 7.2 ....

are you running from a stock Mandrake 2.4 kernel from the Mandrake
cooker, and if so what else (e.g. libs) needs to come along for the
ride?

did you compile from sources, if so did you use the patched Mandrake
cooker sources, and did you find any compatibility probs with the rest
of the LM7.2 install?

for me with a slow modem it's a big investment in download time. I'd
appreciate shared experience/wisdom from fellow LM users.
