Hello all,
i am in need of help. i have two boxes, one winME and the other is win98 =
and linux (mandrake 7.2). i formatted the linux/98 machine yesturday and =
reinstalled mandrake (same set-up as before) but now the internet has =
trouble. i can ping the computer which i dial-up to, but nothing else.
i am being assigned an IP address and this is reported in the =
/var/log/messages file.
(it also mentions "BSD compression enabled" - or somthing along those =
lines...)
me
|
|(can ping)
|
dial-up server
|
|(can't ping)
|
DNS/YAHOO/etc...
my windows98 has the same problem. so thinking its my modem i try it on =
the winME box and it works (so i can email this list) IPRIMUS is my IPS =
and they dont support Linux. However, their techies have the knowledge - =
but i guess are simply not allowed do so.
i guess its as though the router is not forwarding my packets any =
further...
PLEASE HELP..
cheers,
Andrew Galdes
