Yep, we have turned over a few macs, but i386 based machines are
preferable. I havn't any experience with alpha, etc

OK, perhaps I should have started a new thread.

All I know is that a lot of useable computers end up at the tip, I am trying to stop some of this wastage. 

I basically turn unwanted hardware (landfill) into useful communication
and education tools for many dozens of people. They typically have linux
on them, so I am supporting the Linux community aswell. All this is for
free and all done (so far) by myself and my partner Romana. 

I could really do with some help:)
