It seesm to me you do not have sufficient permissions in the parent
directory (folder) to create the folder you want then the change directory
fails because the folder is not there.  I'd check the permissions first.

i am working on a bit of php stuff for a company, and i keep recieving these
errors....

file open failed

dirs removed to protect innocent cats and dogs...

what the script does, is create a folder, change to the dir, copy some files
into the folder, and create a .htaccess file
any ideas people?
server is rh6.?, php 4.0.0, all the junk.
script is called from a form, after inputting a username and password.

i need help asap, the site is due to be finished tonite!!!
