Super - I got a nice sorted list.
Unfortunately rpm -qia |sort > myprogs gave a list sorted sentence by
sentence, which wasn't quite what I had in mind!

I wish you hadn't told me! (Boo-Hoo!)
I visited /var/lib/rpm and tried to look at packages.rpm. At that point the
gnome file manager crashed and converted packages.rpm to a zero-length file.
The file doesn't appear to be on the RH6.2 disk.
Is there any way I can get packages.rpm back? Is it important, anyway?
