By another measure, Telstra's Cable Plant Records suite (CPR) must be
right up there. In development since mid 1980s, in commercial
development since 1990, still hosts a development team today. I can't
quote lines of code, but I could tell you stories of lives wasted,
marriages broken, friendships made and lost, countless hundreds of
millions of bucks, operating systems coming, arriving, being outmoded,
abandoned and still the apps live on and on. And all Australian, too.
