Jasmin is superb, but always very busy.
You might have difficulty getting a large enough booking.
Maharaja's is okay.
You should be able to book in 30 people, just.
I've prepared this little list:
http://www.topology.org/rest.html
I prepared this for visitors from interstate who used to
always ask where best to eat in Adelaide.
I'd recommend for a linuxSA sort of evening with 30 people:
Stirling Golden Lake (I think they've changed their name recently)
- in Stirling, excellent food, not as cheap as they used to be.

Rose Garden Thai
- probably the most underrated restaurant in Adelaide
- superb food, located on Churchill Road close to city
- plenty of room

Cafe Canton
- very good food, very low prices, heaps of room
- located in O'Connell Street, North Adelaide,
- therefore some problems with parking sometimes.

Jojo's pizzeria
- heaps of room, very good food and prices
- located on O'Connell Street
