Mark's advice is quite valid, before you even consider talking to
experienced LRP people. What type of network traffic will you be looking
atrouting. What is the required up-time or required level of service?
Is running a 'potentially inferior PC' as a router a significant risk?
How much time do you have to fiddle with the system? Do other people have
to be skilled in its use (eg: Cisco technicians can operate almost every
other Cisco router, and finding a technician would be easier)?
Dale.
