None of that represents a viably serious solution for what the original
poster was after.  He said he wanted a border router for multiple upstreams;
This strongly suggests BGP peering, and no router which fits on a floppy
will have anywhere near the kind of software you need to do that.

You probably also wouldn't want to have it on write-protected media
anyway;   One of the more annoying things about BGP configurations 
is that, despite everyone's best intentions, they're very much subject
to change.

Compact Flash perhaps, but not a floppy-based router project.
