vCard format

Greetings all!
I want to transfer my addesses datafile from a certain unnamed unstable system
to GNU/Linux. The only 'built-in" addressbook program I can find is "Address
Book" (how original) which is a Gnome/RH app (thats OK) which uses the vCard
format. I have exported the data I want to keep into .db and comma-delimited
ASCII. SFAICT, "Address Book" will import or read neither of these formats
directly <sob>.
I seem to remember in the deep dark days of a version 3.1of the aforementioned
unstable system (which wasn't then unstable), that there was a card index
program which also used that vCard format, and which would import delimited
ascii. I don't have that anymore <sigh>.
Regardless, anyone have any idea how I could transfer my data into "Address
Book" - or some other program you could recommend?
TIA
