Help with Linux ADSL required!

Can anyone help?
Currently I'm trying to set up an ADSL connection with BigPond.

Using Roaring Penguin (current verson).. installs fine..
but 
>DEBUG=1 adsl-start
reports that the authentication is failing.

Is anyone else with bigpond, and know what the appropriate
string is to use in 'pap-secrets' (assuming that they use 
pap).

Some of the documentation alludes to using 'user@vic.bigpond.net.au'
as the user id.  Looking at the debug messages, I saw a request from
'ppp@shasternets.com' for a CHAP authentication request.

Any ideas?
