ps2 mouse

Hi all,
I've just got my linux box, and have odd behaviour with a ps2 mouse.
The motherboard is a abit ka7, when using a ps2 mouse with a few windows
open the mouse tends to go and hide in the corner of the screen suddenly.
i do have immediate control over it and can drag it back but its a pain.

no problems with a serial mouse.

no problems with a asus motherboard and a ps2 mouse either..

any one seen this before?
