Frankly, I think that this is a pipe dream. I spent years supporting Alpha
and Digital UNIX at Digital, and they just did not understand what it took
to make Alpha a volume player.
The big problem is that there simply will never be enough software for
Alpha to make it interesting.
I would watch AMD and hope that they don't screw up big time again. Esp as
one of the Alpha designers works for AMD now.
