The HOWTO's are stored on a second CD in 6.2...

for the full CD or:

This may seem a dumb question, but when I installed RedHat6.2 on my
machine I don't think the HOWTO's were installed. They usually live in
/usr/doc don't they?

Which package on the CD do they come in?

Using gnorpm you can scan a whole CD for uninstalled packages and
reading the info box you can find out about that particular rpm and I
couldn't find HOWTO's.
