If it's like the ISA network card I had in my computer, you'll need to make
the driver a module, and load it after running isapnp. Redhat did this for
me - all I did was use idapnpdump to generate a isapnp.conf file, I edited
it so it actually worked, then placed it in /etc. After that, everytime I
botted up, it would automatically run isapnp with that conf , and the ne
module would get loaded later, then bringing up all network interfaces.
Anyway, short answer (after you've already read the long one), check out
isapnptools :)
