Yep, this tool comes from the root of the "3com Etherdisk" that you get
with a new card.  (Im pretty sure you can dload the disk from 3com.com)

from my experience the 3c503's and 3c509's actually have some NVRAM on
the board to record what media type is to be used (TP/BNC/AUI) if you
want to switch over the media type you want to use Im pretty sure you
have to boot to DOS and change it using this util.  Im sure that was the
way it was for the Etherlink II's at least (3c503).

Anyhow the ELNK3 is a great card, install it and it just works... hang
on to it.
