Well, roger me with a stiff-wire brush, so it does.   I'll have
to read up on it further, because I couldn't absorb anything with
a quick glance (a bit sleep deprived this end).

The book is copyright '93, which would predate "popular-Linux".

I found I_SENDFD in <bits/stropts.h>, but it says "#define I_SENDFD
17	/* Requests the STREAM associated with `fildes'"
- and I didn't think Linux supported STREAMS yet.  Mmm, must dig
deeper.
