The end of session after almost exactly 120 minutes
might be caused by an "idle" setting in your
/etc/ppp/options file. Please check to see if you
have such a line.

Also, the tcsetattr thing seems to happen long before
your loss of the PPP link.
Maybe it isn't related.
It looks like you tried to start pppd while a pppd was already running,
with the result that the tcsetattr functions failed, as it should
do under such circumstances.
