ZIP Drive fs type

In /etc/fstab I have the following entry for my ZIP drive:

/dev/zip /mnt/zip msdos noauto 0 0

However, I've found that filenames are being truncated to DOS 8.3
filenames. What fs type should I change "msdos" to in /etc/fstab? Whould
it be "vfat"?
