Update - Linux on Toshiba Sattelite 1550 cds

Folks,

A correction to an earlier post in case someone acts on my premature
elation. The internal Toshiba v.90 modem that comes with this model does
not appear to be drive-able under Linux. It does not appear on the
Toshiba-Linux web page as either supported or not-supported. Contrary to
my earlier statements, it does appear to be a winmodem (shudder).

I hope to have a full report by the end of this coming week on what does
and what does not work under Linux for this model. I'll post a brief
report then.
