qt
Hi all,
I uninstalled licq a while ago and now I have downloaded it
again and have tryed to install it.
I sucessfully installed the rpms and I get this error message when I try
and run it:
"8 {alex@pluto(~/xpostit/xpostitplus-2.3.1.orig)}> licq
09:33:25: [ERR] Unable to load plugin (qt-gui):
/usr/local/lib/licq/licq_qt-gui.so: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or
directory."
Therefore I downloaded qt-2.00 and installed it.
Still same error.
So I tryed installing the src and all went ok...but same error.
Due to it bugging out on the plugin part...I searched around and then
realised
that I needed to unpack and install the plugin to the "plugins"
directory in the main Licq source tree. Then build and install it (ie
place it in /usr/local/lib/licq). Then run licq using the "-p" option
and the name of the plugin (minus the leading "licq_" and tailing
".so").
Ok so I start compiling and this is the error:
"yes/qstyle.h does not exist.
sorry, but you need QT version 2.0 or higher to compile the Qt gui
plugin.
Now I'm pissed because I know I have qt-20 installed...so I ran a query
on it and alas
here it is.
64 {root@pluto(/usr/home/alex/licq/licq-0.75.1/plugins/qt-gui)}> rpm
-qa | grep qt
qt-2.00-1
65 {root@pluto(/usr/home/alex/licq/licq-0.75.1/plugins/qt-gui)}>"
I'm quite pissed off because I'm not sure what the hell is going on.
If any one can determine what it is that I am stuffing up can you please
give me a helping hand. I want to get this working on the principle of:
"if all else fails, persistence prevails" :-)
The thing is, this should be a peice of piss to install. Last time it
took about 2mins.
Cheers
