Upgrading Linux - Dependencies

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade some RPMs using gnorpm, and when I try to upgrade
to libxml-1.4.0-1 I get the following error:

libxml.so.0 is needed by gnorpm-0.8-5

Is this telling me that the current version of libxml is required by the
current version of gnorpm?

If so, how can I safely get around this? Just stop using gnorpm and
upgrade libxml and gnorpm to the latest versions using the command line
rpm tool?
