I cannot recommend highly enough that you obtain and read the O'reilly
book 'dns and bind'. NetCraft have a copy available for $58.00, or you
can get it from most good bookstores. Once you have read this,
you will know all you need to know about DNS.

I gave a talk on DNS and bind at at LinuxSA meeting a while ago.
Unfortunately I don't have the slides any more, and they are not on
the web site. (Sorry) However the talk was based pretty much on
content from the DNS and bind book.

Cheers

Alex!
