Yes ... it is a winmodem. I do have win9x/nt drivers for it, but I would not
even recommend using a PC Tel modem under any operating system of any sort
.... I suggest an external modem.

No -- it's probably a winmodem, otherwise you wouldn't need drivers
for it.  Winmodems uniformly suck ass, and will only ever work under
Windows.
