Caching DNS ????
Hi all...
Ive set up a caching DNS up on my RH6 box.
Ive tested it localy by using "nslookup" and also tried pining a domain name
(one that im 100% sure i havnt been to before)from a win98 box and all works
fine.
But the problem is that Squid doesnt seem to use the DNS even though it is
set up to.
If i go to a web page (that i know i havnt been to before) via the squid
cache and then do a nslookup of the domain i just browsed around in, i find
that the domain has not been cached.
Anyone know why???
Ive tried looking at the details of squid's "dnsserver" and have found no
hints to whats causing the problem.
Thanks,
MWP
